Worse than the German Church: Barbara Butch, the French activist who parodied Christ in a Last Supper-style during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics, is now directing artistic installations in Parisian churches. Butch described herself as a "fat, Jewish, queer lesbian" and labelled the 2024 mockery, which featured transvestites, as the "new gay testament". According to TribuneChrétienne.com, Butch will direct installations inside several historic Parisian churches during Paris' Nuit Blanche festival, scheduled for 6–7 June. The initiative aims to transform the churches into spaces for sensory and participatory experiences. One project will take place inside Saint-Laurent Church in Paris. Titled Sous la peau du ciel (“Beneath the Skin of the Sky”), this installation invites visitors to leave recorded “wishes” via telephone. These messages will then be mixed with atmospheric sounds and digitally processed to create what the organisers describe as 'living and evolving sound …കൂടുതൽ

Worse Than Germany: The Spanish Episcopal Conference will award the music prize '2025 ¡Bravo!' to Rosalía for her 'Lux Tour'. The tour heavily incorporates Catholic imagery and symbols, including confessionals, crosses, Marian references, processions, and a stage version of the huge incense burner from Santiago de Compostela. These elements are combined with nightclub aesthetics, sexual provocation, and reinterpretations of religious themes.

"Everybody's do'in it" is not an excuse before judges in this world, nor will it be an excuse in the next. The man in the back of the Church, beating his breast 'mea culpa', went home justified.
Worse than Germany? I have watched up here for years the sad story of Germany, and can see the effect it has on it's Catholic citizens. (Not Good). Pray for Catholic Spain. St. James pray for us.

"Excommunication of FSSPX Will Go Down in History as Huge Error of Leo XIV": Talking to EWTN on May 14, Bishop Athanasius Schneider notes that the Vatican shows leniency toward anti-Catholic movements, the German Synodal Way, and even state-controlled forces like Communist China, while cracking down harshly on the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X: “Now it seems that the Vatican and the Pope are showing their power: ‘We have the power. We will excommunicate them.’ This is not synodal. This is not pastoral. If the Pope excommunicates them, it will go down in history as a huge error of rigidity, pastoral rigidity, and one-sided severity toward tradition in the Church.”
Bishop Schneider told EWTN that if Pope Leo excommunicates the SSPX “this will go down in history as a huge error in pastoral rigidity and one-sided pastoral severity towards tradition in the Church”
God may have given animals less intelligence than us, but nobody will ever convince me He didn't give them souls--eternal souls. I think we'll find Heaven a lot more crowded than we've been led to believe.
Leo XIV will fly to France from September 25–28 for his fifth international trip, the Vatican confirmed today. The visit will include a stop at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Full details of the itinerary have not yet been released.
Archbishop José Rafael Quirós Quirós, 71, of San José, Costa Rica, has ordered that kneelers are not to be placed in churches for the distribution of Holy Communion, reports InfoVaticana.com. This measure is ordered in a circular dated 13 May. It is signed by the Episcopal Delegate for Liturgy, Rev. Francisco Morales González. "From now on, kneelers are not to be installed in churches for the distribution of Communion," the document states. The circular responds to questions raised in recent weeks regarding the installation of kneelers for the faithful who wish to receive Communion while kneeling. It "argues" that the presence of kneelers could lead some of the faithful to believe that receiving Communion while kneeling is "the only form established by the Church". The decree also claims that kneelers could hinder access for elderly people or those with mobility difficulties who are accustomed to receiving Communion while standing. #newsTqsbzfubql
Hmmm. The faithful might believe that receiving Communion while kneeling is "the only form established by the Church". What about those that think receiving on the hand is "the only form established by the Church"? Here's a simple solution: let those who wish to stand, let them stand. Let those that wish to kneel, let them kneel.
Un repentant sinners hate our lord so much what wrong with pouring expensive perfume over our Lord as sign of Love. Today perfume is kneeling before our maker pouring out our hearts,
Milan Archdiocese has announced plans for a new interreligious “Ambrosian Monastery.” The futuristic religious complex will be built in the MIND district on the former Expo grounds. Designed by architect Stefano Boeri, the project includes a triangular church and a triangular cloister. The large covered structure has been compared to a shopping mall or even a ski-jump platform. According to the Archdiocese, a permanent resident community is expected to live at the site, although no religious institute or monastic order has yet been identified. The complex will cover around 2,700 square meters, with more than 1,100 square meters dedicated to public and open-access areas. Representing Different Monotheistic Faith Unlike a monastery centered on God, prayer, and liturgy, the new structure is conceived as an interreligious and cultural hub. Diocesan presentations describe it as “a space for spirituality, dialogue, and reflection” intended to bring together religions, cultures, science, and …കൂടുതൽ
Pope Leo XIV has established a Vatican commission dedicated to artificial intelligence. The “Interdicasterial Commission for Artificial Intelligence” includes representatives from seven Vatican dicasteries: Doctrine of the Faith, Culture and Education, Communication, and Integral Human Development, as well as the Pontifical Academies for Life, Sciences, and Social Sciences. According to the Vatican, the new body aims to promote cooperation and information exchange on AI-related projects and to develop internal guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence. The commission will initially be coordinated for one year by Cardinal Michael Czerny, 79. #newsMymxarmlmb
The problem with AI is the 'magical thinking' which presumes the stuff it is computing with is actual 'intelligence'. Any computer, no matter how massive or fast, loaded with the ideological slop and skewed 'facts' in which our world is mired at the moment will end up giving you back what you put into it. It thereby becomes, inherently, 'fool's gold', or, in this instance, 'fool's god'.

On May 15, Leo XIV spoke on the phone with Egyptian Tawadros II, the leader of the Coptic Orthodox group, reaffirming his commitment to closer ties. As usual, the Holy See called the conversation “cordial and fraternal”, focussing on Christian unity, dialogue, and peace in the Middle East. Both expressed their desire overcome obstacles to dialogue “in faith and charity.” In a letter to Tawadros II for the Day of Coptic-Catholic Friendship (May 10), Leo XIV said that “at a time when our world is afflicted by so many conflicts, particularly in the Middle East, Christians must, more than ever, strive for full unity so that we may bear witness together to the Prince of Peace.” The Coptic Orthodox split from the Church after the Council of Chalcedon in 451, rejecting the Chalcedonian formula of "two natures", effectively denying or diminishing the full human nature of Christ. #newsQczszkqnmq

Become Simple, Joyful, And Godlike Again The gospel reading emphasizes the importance of becoming childlike, not childish, to enter the kingdom of heaven. This involves embracing childlike qualities such as charity, joy, forgiveness, and unwavering faith. The simplicity and beauty of a child’s perspective is also highlighted, contrasting it with the complexity and skepticism often found in adults. Fr. In 1987, the Lutheran minister Richard John Neuhaus argued that history had entered into a “Catholic moment,” in which the Catholic Church had a chance to take up its “rightful role” in constructing a “religiously informed public philosophy” for the United States. Given the Church’s declining numerical and institutional strength, it is striking to find that a strange kind of Catholic moment has indeed arrived—one in which the Church has a thinner presence on the ground but seemingly a greater one in public debates.
