Monsignor Anthony Spinosa, 75, a Maronite Catholic priest, has been accused of engaging in a public homosexual act with registered sex offender Kenneth Kopp, 54, at Perkins Park in Warren, Ohio, according to Wfmj.com. Spinosa had served since 2002 as rector of the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson. He was elevated to the rank of "Chorbishop" (prelate) in 2016. On Thursday, he was relieved of his ministerial assignment. The allegations stem from July 31, when a couple walking their dog told police they saw Kopp on his knees allegedly performing a homosex act on Spinosa, who was smoking a cigar. They further alleged that one of the men invited them to join in and offered to let them watch for payment. According to the police report, the incident occurred "in broad daylight," about 100 meters from a playground where children were present.
